My New Morning Routine
When I created my morning routine, I made sure to include things that I would normally either forget to do or push off to the later hours of the day. For example, working out and/or taking supplements. I do these right away in the morning so I start my day with the feeling of productivity, while not having to think about completing these tasks the rest of the day. It’s as simple as that.
I hope my morning routine inspires and encourages you to create a morning routine for yourself. Remember, your morning routine may look completely different than mine and that is OKAY. Do what you gotta do boo!
With that being said, take a peek into what my mornings look like!
This may seem like the most obvious step, but I had to include it as this can be the most challenging part of the morning.
As I said earlier in this post, try to get your full 8 hours of sleep or whatever leaves you feeling refreshed. This will help to set you up for a productive morning.
Yes, you may be tired at first… but I promise you won’t regret climbing out of bed. You will feel like a BOSS after you complete your morning routine. Trust me on this!
Once I’m out of bed I try to make my bed immediately. This ensures that I won’t climb back into bed until the evening.
I love finding ways in which I can be intentional with my actions, big and small.
From the start of the morning, I intentionally choose to step out of my comfort zone by splashing ice cold water on my face.
As silly as it sounds, this is a perfect, low-pressure way to train your mind to start choosing to step into the uncomfortable.
OR
If you really want to submerge yourself into the uncomfortable, try taking an ice-cold shower. Wim Hof Method has all the information about that!
Yes, these may seem like small decisions but they all add up to the bigger picture. When you consciously choose to practice stepping into the uncomfortable, you expand your mind to all the possibilities of what could be.
TIP: Use your morning routine as a catalyst for consistency and structure in your life. Think of it as a practice, or a grounding ritual, something you are always improving.
I always look forward to opening the curtains as soon as I wake up. The feeling of the sun beating in, the sound of the birds chirping, and fresh air….ahh it’s all too good.
This year, one of my goals is to grow in my faith and talk to God on a more frequent basis. I have been putting 5-10 minutes aside in the morning to sit on the couch, quiet my mind, and talk to God.
If I have the time, I love to add in a guided meditation using one of my favorite apps, Insight Timer.
Again, this step is pretty obvious but I feel it’s an important one.
I’ve found that when I look good, I feel good. And when I feel good, I do good. It’s all connected.
There’s no better feeling than stepping out of the shower with freshly shaved legs, shampooed and conditioned hair, and clean skin. It’s all in the works ladies.

AND, last but not least… COFFEE AND BREAKFAST.
My favorite part of the morning.
When I’m in the kitchen making breakfast, I use my time to either listen to a podcast or catch up on some new music. I love some morning tunes to get the day going.
Once I have my breakfast situated, I grab my espresso, sit down at the dining table, and review my planner for the day’s schedule.
AND there ya have it! My new morning routine.
I highly encourage you to create a morning routine for yourself that fits your wants and needs. Ultimately, you have the power to choose how you want to feel every single day. It starts with the decisions you make from the top of the morning to when you climb into bed at night. Lead with intention and purpose and ALWAYS give yourself grace.
