6 Luxury Candles You Need in Your Life ASAP
So let me just start off by saying… I am a self-identified candle enthusiast. It’s an addiction. Truly.
As of lately, I’ve really been exploring all types of candles, but in particular, luxury candles… and let me tell, they are worth the hype! Don’t get me wrong, I’m ALL for the Bath & Body Works’ 3-wick sales…I live for those sales when they come by. However, I’ve also learned that splurging on a luxury candle here and there never hurt anybody.
Personally, I’m a believer in treating yourself, and if the little luxuries in life can spark up some joy here and there, then why the heck not?! It’s the little things.
No, I’m not saying you should splurge on material things seeking some sort of a means for happiness… that comes from within. :) I’m saying that throughout my experience with trying numerous candles, I have found luxury candles to be the highest of quality for a number of reasons:
The Burn Time: Luxury candles burn significantly longer than the generic candle. For example, Bath and Body Works’ candles burn time ranges from 25-45 hours. In comparison, a luxury candle brands burn time is approximately 80 hours.
The Smoke: I don’t know about you, but with cheaper candles I always get plumes of smoke residue either while burning or blowing them out. In contrast, with more expensive candles there seems to be little to no residue at all. Most luxury candles are vegan, cruelty free, etc. This can also be a considerable factor whilst hoping to refrain from smoke residue buildup. NOTE: Trimming the wick will help to minimize smoke residue.
The Scent: I have found that luxury candle brands offer a variety of scents that last the entire burning period. Not only do these scents smell amazing, but they also fill the room more significantly than a generic candle would.
The Display: I am most drawn to candles with a chic, transparent display. In particular, I find these jars to showcase the golden glow of the wick quite beautifully, all while creating a warming ambiance in your home. TIP: Luxury candle jars can later be recycled into beautiful home decor and DIY jars.
